If you want flexibility without compromising on comfort, a zip and link mattress is hard to beat. It can be one large bed or two separate singles, whichever you need at the time. At Bedworld we offer zip and link mattresses in a choice of sizes and fillings to suit every sleeper.

What is a zip and link mattress?

A zip and link mattress is made of two separate mattresses that zip securely together to make one larger bed, or unzip to become two individual mattresses. That makes them ideal for guest rooms, holiday lets, hotels and B&Bs, and for anyone who wants the option of two single beds later.

Available sizes

Our zip and link mattresses come in five sizes, so you can choose the width and length that suit your room:

Size Feet Centimetres
King Size x 6'3" Length 5ft x 6ft 3in 150 x 190 cm
King Size x 6'6" Length 5ft x 6ft 6in 150 x 200 cm
Super King x 6'3" Length 6ft x 6ft 3in 180 x 190 cm
Super King x 6'6" Length 6ft x 6ft 6in 180 x 200 cm
Emperor 7ft x 7ft 215 x 215 cm

Many of our other mattresses and divan beds also come in a 6'0 Super King Zip & Link size (180 x 200 cm): two 3ft wide mattresses that zip together and, on divan beds, two single bases that link together. Find out more about our emperor mattresses, our largest size. For all standard sizes, see our UK mattress sizes guide.

A choice of fillings

Each half of a zip and link mattress is a full mattress in its own right, available in a range of fillings:

  • Pocket sprung: individual springs contour to your body and reduce movement across the bed.
  • Memory foam: moulds to your shape for pressure relief.
  • Orthopaedic: a firmer feel for extra back and joint support.
  • Gel: memory foam with cooling gel for a fresher feel.
  • Pillow top: an extra soft-touch layer on top for added cushioning.

Why choose zip and link?

  • Flexibility: switch between one large bed and two singles whenever you need to.
  • Perfect for guests: a guest room that works for couples and friends alike.
  • Easier to move: two halves are much easier to get up stairs and round corners than one large mattress.

Complete the bed

Pair your zip and link mattress with a matching base from our zip and link beds, which also split into two for complete flexibility. Shop zip and link mattresses, with free delivery.
