What is a standard (strutted) headboard?
A standard headboard is mounted on two wooden struts that bolt to the back of your divan base or bed frame. The struts hold the headboard at the right height, and the headboard itself doesn't touch the floor.

What is a floor standing headboard?
A floor standing headboard is taller and extends right down to the floor behind your bed, where it's also fixed to the bed for extra stability. Because it takes its weight on the floor, it feels sturdy and substantial.
