Memory Foam Mattresses

Memory foam mattresses are Made of high-density, low-resilience polyurethane foam, it creates a comfortable and supportive mattress. Memory foam moulds to the body in response to heat and pressure, evenly distributing body weight. It then returns to its original shape once you remove the pressure. In addition to protecting against impact, these properties make memory foam mattresses very comfortable.

Pocket Sprung Mattresses

Pocket sprung mattresses are constructed with hundreds even thousands of individual springs encased in cloth sleeves called pockets, this creates independent movement for each spring contouring to your body shape and keeping your spine in correct alignment. Each of these pocket springs is enclosed in its own fabric pocket and works independently of each other. This means that each spring reacts only to the pressure that’s applied to that particular area, and they don’t move as a whole unit. Pocket sprung mattresses tend to offer better support than open-coil however this comes at an extra cost.

Reflex Foam Mattresses

This is a high-density foam that provides support and firmness. Reflex foam is made up of tiny holes that slightly adapt to your body shape, but bounce back against you at the same time.

Ortho Support Mattresses

Providing a firm even surface on which to sleep on most orthopedic mattresses provide targeted support for your joints and back. These mattresses are typically recommended for people who sleep with pain, people who are in active recovery from injury, seniors, and athletes or other people who are active.

Hand Tufted Mattresses

Tufted mattresses have nylon tape running through them at regular intervals secured by cotton rosettes, keeping the mattress fillings in place, allowing the springs to stay where they are intended to be, and keeping the layers of a mattress in place.

Quilted Mattresses

Quilted mattresses are generally covered in a level fabric, and has no appearance of tufts. These mattresses use a fabric that has been quilted together to create a soft and comfortable surface. The quilt adds thickness and softness to the top of the mattress, and it helps to keep the comfort layers within the mattress from shifting or moving out of place. The padding is held in place by stitching and can be deeply quilted or micro-quilted to create the quilt.

Pillowtop Mattresses

This is an additional layer of support filled with either memory foam, latex or wool either integrated within the top-section of the mattress or stitched onto the the top of the mattress itself. The comfort of a pillow top mattress is renowned for supporting sleep. They are the preferred mattress for side sleepers for hip and shoulder support and are considered great for reducing back and joint pain. They are overall exceptional for pressure point relief.

Zip & Link Mattresses

Zip and link mattresses consist of two single mattresses that can be zipped together to create one large mattress. These mattresses can be joined or separated as the user requires, providing a flexible solution to owners.

Tension

This is a measure of firmness which determines how hard or soft the mattress feels when lying on it. A good mattress should always contour to your body and feel comfortable. The right firmness level can promote proper spinal alignment while cushioning sensitive areas of the body. The best firmness for an individual will depend on their body type, the position in which they sleep and the level of support they require.

Head-to-Toe

By regularly rotating our pocket sprung mattresses from head-to-toe, you keep your mattress in great condition prolonging its lifespan and maintaining the benefits your mattress has to offer. It’s recommended that this is done at least once every three months, to ensure that the filling is evenly distributed and you use the mattress evenly.

Hybrid Mattresses

Hybrid mattresses are made up of a range of layers, such as memory foam, gel or latex alongside an innerspring system. These mattresses combine a pocket spring system and a top layer of memory foam, latex, or gel. This way, you don’t have to choose between one type of mattress; you can have the stability and support that pocket springs provide, while enjoying the extra cushioning and comfort of preferred fillings.

Depth

Our mattress range from an average thickness of 6 to 12 inches. The best mattresses have a comfort layer that’s at least 2-3 inches thick and a base layer that’s at least 6-8 inches thick. Most mattresses also contain a 1-2 inch thick transition layer.

Air Vents

A traditional component of many mattresses, these allow the mattress to breath, keeping the temperature regulated and helping you enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep. They also help to keep the mattress in good condition and prolong its longevity.

Turning Handles

These are placed on the borders of a mattress to make it easier to maneuver. Not all mattresses feature turning handles, they are more likely to be found on the heavier king and superking sizes.
