  • We ordered this bed and a memory foam mattress to put into our spare room and as such it has not yet been slept on. I put the order in on the Monday and the bed and mattress turned up on the Wednesday. Excellent service especially as a local store in Lincoln had said we could have a bed in six weeks. Putting the bed together was really easy. You do need two people to ensure that the side rails mate with the ends but other than that one person can complete the rest of the assembly. All the parts were there including two allen keys. The only other tool I needed was a hammer to knock the dowels into their receiving holes and the slat end caps into their locating holes. The instructions were fine but did contain one minor error to do with connecting the bed head to the posts. The position of the dowels and the bolts has been transposed but it was easily spotted. All in all though it only took me about 45 minutes to put the bed up from start to finish. The bed itself seems to be really solid. In addition to the wooden frame there are metal bracing struts that add extra rigidity and prevent the sprung slats from bending too far. The Kingfisher white bed frame offers a clean, modern look, this is complimented by the low foot design of the frame. The shaker style headboard features wooden posts to provide a sturdy construction to the frame. The rubberwood frame is available in sizes single, small double, double and kingsize, each size comes supplied wih beech sprung wooden slats for mattress support and ventilation.
