Which Mattress is Right for You?

When shopping for a cheap mattress you have to ask yourself which mattress is right for you. In the old days this was simple, just find one with a pattern on it you like and you'd be off.

However as time has gone by mattresses have evolved far beyond what they use to be 50 years ago. Some of our forefathers might not even recognize a modern bed if they saw one.

Mattress Right SizeWhich Mattress is Right for You?

Beds are no longer regulated to just one or two sizes. When picking a mattress out you need to find the right size that meets your needs, and will meet your future needs. Not to mention you have all the different materials they are made out of to choose from as well. Then you factor in the colour, and the pattern on it and you have quite a decision to make.

Then after you figure all of this out you have to choose what type of mattress you want. You can go the traditional spring mattress that sits on top of set of box springs which has been used for a very long time.

Or you can go for a water bed; this is a more interesting sleeping experience to say the least. Finally you have the memory foam mattresses to look at.

The next thing you need to factor in is the price of the mattress that you are looking for. As far as quality and ease of use goes the results vary.

Traditional spring mattresses are definitely the easiest to use, but they wear out over time and the springs can poke through the fabric. Water beds are a bit harder to use as they require you to fill them up, but once the procedure is done you rarely if ever have to do it again.

Memory foam mattresses are also easy to use, and they have no parts that will poke you when you sit down.

Generally water beds wear out the quickest due to there construction. A spring mattress may last 5 to 15 years if the quality is good, and you take care of it.

Memory Foam Mattresses

The memory foam mattress will definitely last the longest due to the fact that it's primarily made out of polyurethane. Although that being said the memory foam mattress will also burn easier than others.

Regardless of which mattress you decide is best for you remember to allow yourself time to actually sleep on it. People who neglect their sleeping schedules often end up with health problems.

We all have to stay up for a few days at a time when life starts putting the squeeze on us, but remember to make time for sleep. Prices for all of the above mentioned mattresses range from 100 USD to 1000 USD and up.

When considering your mattress keep in mind that if you get a water bed and it gets to cold in your room the water will freeze. I speak from experience when I say this is not an event you want to come home to.

Regular mattresses and memory foam mattresses do not freeze, but the cold will make the metal springs stiffer. This can make sleeping a bit uncomfortable until they warm up.
